Islamorada is located in the Middle Keys, 90 minutes from Miami and 90 minutes from Key West with its beautiful shops and great restaurants, and approximately 20 minutes from the Seven Mile Bridge, the longest bridge in the U.S. and a beautiful drive for a lazy afternoon.  If you would like to stay close by, you can shop at Wide World of Sports where you can see the replica of Hemingway's boat, Pilar, and the largest salt water tank.

Islamorada has some of the best restaurants in the Florida Keys, such as Pierre's Restaurant (photo on right), with its Key West style arquitecture and elegant bar.  Morada Bay is a great place if you like a more casual atmosphere and a must for sunset watchers.  Don't miss the new Ziggies and Mad Dog,  Islamorada Fish Company, Island Grill, Lazy Days or the elegant Cheeca Lodge.

Anne's Beach, located only one block from the house,  is dedicated to local environmentalist Anne Eaton. There are 2 parking lots approximately 1/4 mile apart on US-1 at MM 73. Anne's Beach features a shallow swimming area, covered picnic tables, boardwalk and bathroom facilities.
